Dhynosoft User's Guide

Introduction

Our revolutionary stock trading system has been developed as a valuable tool for traders of all levels. We search through nearly 25,000 stocks around the world, on a daily basis, bringing you timely recommendations within hours of market closing. Designed as a powerful tool for professional money managers, hedge fund operators, and other private equity managers, our trading platform is also simple enough for the novice investor to use.

The main goal of this simple guide is to introduce new user's to Dhynosoft's global stock recommendations and to provide guidelines for their usage. It consists of the following parts: In this document, text in blue typically provides a quick link to what is being referenced. There is often "hover text" for many terms as well, so you can pause the mouse over the highlighted term to see a quick summary of the item.

1 - Overview of Our Recommendations

Dhynosoft generates a separate set of recommendations for each country supported. Currently, we support the following countries: Each country has its own recommendations page. Click on one of the countries above to see the recommendation page for that country. In some cases, more than one exchange is supported per country. For example, on the recommendations page for India, both the Bombay Stock Exchange and National Stock Exchange are supported. For a complete list of our currently-supported exchanges, click here.

Accessing the Recommendations from the Website

There are three simple ways to access the recommendations for a particular country. These are:
  • 1 – Main Menu: From the top main menu of any page, go to the “Recommendations” drop-down menu and select the desired country.
  • 2 – Quick Links Menu: From the “Quick Links” menu at the upper-left of any page, simply click on the desired country.
  • 3 – Global Summary Table: Toward the bottom of our homepage, in the “Global Summary Table”, select the desired country from those listed in the first column of the table.

Accessing the Recommendations in Our Subscription Email

Subscribers familiar with our website will notice that our daily subscription emails mirror the webpages on our website. Our subscription emails do, in fact, follow the same format as our website’s individual recommendation pages.

The key difference between the website and our subscription email is that the recommendations on our website, being freely accessible, are delayed by 24 hours or more. For this reason, users are NOT advised to make trades based on recommendations taken directly from the website. A subscription is really the only means of accessing our recommendations at the time for which they were intended. However, for purposes of discussion with prospective users, we will commonly make reference to our website pages.

What will you find on each recommendation page?

Within each page, our recommendations are typically broken into three groups, representing three different levels, or strategies, of trading. They are:
  • 1 - Overall : Presents all "All Trades" recommendations for the day. Traders who wish to utilize the overall trading recommendations may often encounter a large number of daily recommendations, of which not all will typically fill.
  • 2 - EZ Trade : Our EZ Trade strategy was developed to provide traders with a smaller, simplified set of recommendations. EZ Trade recommendations are designed to fill, meaning that the entry price will become available on the trading day, at a significantly higher rate than our overall recommendations. Fewer recommendations and more fills means less time spent watching the market.
  • 3 - Power Plays : Our Power Play recommendations typically outperform our overall recommendations by approximately 1-2% avg. gain per trade. Power Plays are selected as market opportunity permits, and may not be available on all days.
In some markets, such as the United States, there may be a further breakdown of recommendations into sectors and indices.

Recommendations and Associated Tables

The details of our recommendation pages will be outlined below, but first let’s look at a quick summary of what information is provided on each page:
  • A daily set of precise stock recommendations
  • Actual entry prices for each recommendation
  • Price targets for all positions, updated daily
  • A recent performance summary
  • A list of positions closed on the previous day
  • A list of new positions opened on the previous day
  • A detailed, monitored list of our currently-open positions
  • A detailed log of recently-closed positions

This data is organized into tables as discussed below:

At the top of the page:

I - Recent Performance Summary - Past 90 Trading Days:
This table, always at the top of the recommendations page, provides a quick summary and links to the recommdations below. This will always include breakdowns and links to Overall, EZ Trade, and Power Play Recommendations. Move the mouse over the table headings to see their definitions.

And for each of three trading strategies, Overall, EZ Trade, and Power Plays, the following five tables are listed:

II - Entrance Criteria for Next Trading Day:
The leftmost column lists the stocks recommended. For each, it provides the symbol, long or short indicator, entry price, and target price.
III - Positions Closed Today:
This table lists the positions which had closed the previous trading day. A position is closed when either:
  • a) The price target is met,
  • b) the stop loss is hit, or
  • c) the Maximum Days Held is reached.
For each closed position, the closing price, days held, and percentage gain is listed. Stop loss and maximum days held may vary by country. Click here to see our Region-Specific Parameters page listing this information.
IV - Positions Opened Today:
This table lists the positions opened the previous day. A position is opened when a recommendation for the previous day had met it's entry price. For each opened position, the stock ticker and opening price are listed.
V - Recent Performance (Past 90 Trading Days):
This table summarizes the performance over the past 90 trading days. Statistics include Avg. Gain, separate Avg. Gain for both short and long trades, Avg. Days Held, and Success %.
VI - Closed Positions Log (Past 90 Trading Days):
Lists all of the positions closed over the past 90 trading days. The most recent positions are listed at the top of the table.

2 - Utilizing Dhynosoft's Daily Recommendations

Tips for Opening New Positions

There are basically two methods which can be used for opening new positions, based on daily recommendations. They are
  • Using limit orders which can be placed ahead of market opening, and
  • Using a watchlist which needs to be periodically monitored while the market is open.

Limit Orders

Limit orders can be place ahead of market opening to buy or short sell a specified number of shares at a specified price. For long recommendations, limit buy orders are placed on selected stocks. For short recommendations, limit sell orders are placed. The user must decide, in advance, which orders are to be placed and for how many shares. It is possible, and in some cases likely, that not all limit orders placed will be filled. On certain days, there may be considerably more Overall recommendations than can be covered using limit orders. As one alternative, our EZ Trade recommendation section has fewer recommendations each day and, at the same time, has a much higher fill rate than our Overall list. Our Power Plays provide yet another alternative, with even fewer recommendations each day and higher gains per trade.

Key Advantages of Limit Orders

  • No need to watch the market during the day.
  • Gaps at opening may allow fill at better price than recommended entry.

Key Disadvantages of Limit Orders

  • Cannot predetermine which positions will fill.
  • Difficult to apply for large number of recommendations.

Watchlist

The alternative to placing limit orders is to setup a watchlist for the day's recommended securities. A watchlist is simply a list of desired stocks and associated data, such as price and volume, which can be monitored throughout the trading day. Most popular brokerages provide a means for setting up watchlists, as well as many freely available internet sites, such as Yahoo! Finance. The watchlist can be setup before the market opens. It is recommended to setup separate watchlists for long and short recommendations. However, this is entirely up to you.

The watchlist can be monitored periodically throughout the trading day. New positions may be opened when the entry price for a given recommendation has been met. For long recommendations, watch for those stocks which are down, resulting in better entry prices. For short recommendation, look for those which are up, similarly. Even with a large number of recommendations, it is possible with a watchlist to get a quick overview of those stocks which are candidates to be executed. It is not necessary to constantly monitor the watchlist. You can decide for yourself how closely you wish to monitor the list. However, it should be noted that it is possible to both miss an entry opportunity as well as find an opportunity to buy at a better price.

Key Advantages of Watchlists

  • Better suited for large numbers of recommendations.
  • Possible to buy at prices better than entry.

Key Disadvantages of Watchlists

  • Market must be monitored periodically during the day.

Tips for Managing Open Positions

When holding open positions, it is necessary to check daily the target prices in the "Price Targets for Existing Positions" section of Dhynosoft's Daily Recommendations. It is advised to place limit orders on all open positions to close at the target prices given. This may be done prior to market open in order to take advantage of any opening price gaps which may occur.

Also, traders should make note of the number of days helds on all open positions. Cross-check these with the Maximum Days Held for the country being traded. This data is listed for all countries on our Region-Specific Parameters page. Dhynosoft will automatically close any open positions at closing if the maximum number of days held is met and the price target (or stop loss) has not occurred.

3 - Setting Up a Daily Routine

Investors are encouraged to establish a daily trading routine which is suitable for their lifestyle and time allowance. Here is an example of a typical daily routine which may be used with the Dhynosoft system.

Ahead of Market Opening

  • 1 - Review Day's Recommendations: Review latest Dhynosoft recommendations. You should make note of:
    • a) The price targets for any currently open positions you may have.
    • b) The current recommendations and associated entry prices.
  • 2 - Place Limit Orders to Close on All Open Positions: Place limit orders to close your currently open positions based on Dhyno's target prices.
  • 3 - Setup to Open Additional Positions: Setup watchlist and/or open new limit orders for next trading day.

While the Market is Open

  • 4 - Monitor watchlist periodically, if using one, and open positions as entry prices are met.
  • 5 - Check for Closed Postions: Periodically during the trading day, check to see which open positions, if any, have closed. If desired, additional positions may be opened using the received funds.
